subscribe to me please

When you subscribe to someone, you will receive his or her public update stories without making friend with them. Subscribe play very similar role as Like option on Facebook page. Facebook users can limit the privacy of their posts and only public ones can be seen by subscribers while every posts are public for Facebook page.

Here I will offer you 6 tips that could help leverage your  Facebook subscribers number.

1. Allow Facebook subscribers and let them comment on your public posts

This may be the first thing you have to do. People can subscribe to you when you allow them to do so unless they can’t find subscribe button on your timeline profile.

Facebook subscribe setting

To allow people to subscribe, please go to Account Setting > Subscriber > check Allow Subscribers
and don’t forget to choose Public (including subscribers) for Subscriber comments.

In the Subscribe Setting, you can set your username and you’ll have your own short url with your username after www.facebook.com. For example, I set my username as techcyclo and I would have www.facebook.com/techcyclo as my url.

Before you leave the setting please review your public timeline by just clicking Want to know what subscribers can see? View your public timeline. This option will help you see how your Facebook subscribers will see your timeline.

2. Be active on Facebook

Being active is one of the most important thing you have to do. Being active here means having regular status updates, changing profile picture or profile cover often, comment on or like other’s posts… The more you interact with your friends the more your profile will appear on your friends and friends of friends news feed and also appear in subscribe suggestion list. You’ll see the number of your Facebook subscribers rise from time to time. You can’t have hundreds of Facebook subscribers if you haven’t logged in your Facebook account for weeks or months unless you are a famous pop star.

3. Post interesting content and do some tags

Interesting post is one of the hot spot on Facebook. People love interesting things. For example: when you post a very funny picture, you’ll notice that many people will hit like and share your post. Facebook credits to the one who post first and your name will be seen as far as the post reach.
Sometimes, you need to tag some of your friends so that the content you posted will be seen by many other people that are not friend with you.

4. Don’t be too private

If you want to keep everything private then you don’t need to allow subscribers. People who subscribed to you want to know about you so let them know something about you. So set some of your posts public.

5. Be an interesting person

It’s not easy to be an interesting person but it’s not too hard to achieve it. Being interesting here doesn’t mean you have to be handsome or beautiful but you have something that people want to explore. Those could be your design skill, your photography talent, or your wise words… You can upload some of your outstanding works to Facebook to show that it’s your skill. Sometimes you need to show off to get more attention. People cannot know what you are good at if you don’t let them know.

6. Put subscribe button on your blog

If you have a blog, it would be great. Just put a subscribe button on your blog then your blog readers will likely to subscribe to you.  Most bloggers have their own pages for their blogs but most of the blog readers like to know more about who behind those amazing blogs. This option will help strengthen the relationship between you and your loyal readers. Have you added subscribe button to your blog yet?

It is impossible to make the count reflect both friend and public subscribers. The count only reflects public subscribers. :)
